Frequently Asked Questionss

What should I expect during my first session?

I’m here to help make the experience comfortable, relaxing, and personalized to your needs from start to finish. Read the full blog to learn more about the massage process, what to expect during your session, and how to get the most out of your treatment.

How soon after surgery can I receive lymphatic drainage massage?

In many cases, lymphatic drainage massage may begin anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks after surgery, depending on the procedure, your healing progress, and your surgeon’s recommendations. As a trained post-operative lymphatic drainage therapist, I will review your recovery needs and medical guidance with you prior to treatment to ensure your session is safe, supportive, and appropriate for your stage of healing.

How do I know which session is right for me?

Your intake form and our conversation before your session will help determine which massage treatment is best suited to your individual needs and wellness goals. Depending on what your body needs, your session may include a single massage modality or a customized combination of techniques such as therapeutic massage, cupping, Gua Sha, or lymphatic drainage to provide the most effective and relaxing experience possible.

Is massage safe during cancer treatment?

Massage therapy may be safe and beneficial during cancer treatment when performed by a therapist trained in oncology massage and with approval from your medical team. Because every diagnosis, treatment plan, and stage of care is different, we will carefully review your health history, current treatments, and comfort level to ensure your session is safe, gentle, and tailored to your individual needs.

Is massage safe if I have a medical condition?

Massage therapy can be a gentle, non-invasive way to support relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness. If you have a serious or chronic medical condition, we recommend consulting with your physician before your session. During your intake and consultation, we’ll review your health history and wellness goals to ensure your massage is safe, comfortable, and tailored to your individual needs.

Do you work with clients in remission or recovery?

Yes, I work with clients in remission and recovery. I am trained in Oncology Massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and I take great care to provide safe, gentle, and supportive treatments tailored to each client’s stage of healing and overall well-being.
